WSAVA World Congress 2026 | Warsaw, Poland
On behalf of Dr. Edgardo Unson of Animal House Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Jerry Hawson of Pet Bureau, Dr. James Ross Tagnia of Kings Road Veterinary Hospital, and Dr. Geoff Carullo of Greenwoods Pet Hospital, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Royal Canin Philippines and Marsman Drysdale Travel and Tours for sponsoring our participation in the WSAVA World Congress 2026, held October 13–15 in Warsaw, Poland.
Our trip was made even more memorable through the generous support of Royal Canin Philippines, which sponsored our round-trip airline tickets via Qatar Airways and our hotel accommodations at Ibis Warszawa Centrum.
These arrangements allowed us to focus on what mattered most: learning, networking, and experiencing the latest developments in international veterinary medicine.

One of the highlights of our congress experience was visiting the impressive Royal Canin booth, representing one of the major sponsors of WSAVA 2026.
And what a warm welcome we received!
From refreshing fruit shakes to engaging conversations with their international team, the atmosphere was genuinely inviting. We even participated in a raffle for a chance to win a free trip to France!
Perhaps the most memorable part of our visit was meeting Sophie Pomaret, Head of Global Brand Experience at Royal Canin, based in France.
Despite holding a senior leadership position in a globally recognized company, Sophie was remarkably warm, approachable, and accommodating. She took the time to interact with us, making our visit feel personal and memorable.
It was refreshing to experience that kind of hospitality from someone representing the global leadership of Royal Canin.
And of course, I couldn’t leave the booth empty-handed!

I was fortunate to bring home samples of Royal Canin Clinical Alliance Exclusive Gastrointestinal Hydrolysed Protein diets for both dogs and cats, products that I have not yet encountered in the Philippine market.
These specialized nutritional formulations are designed to provide gastrointestinal support while minimizing adverse food reactions through hydrolysed protein technology.
I sincerely hope Royal Canin Philippines will eventually introduce these products to our local market.
After all, Filipino veterinarians and our patients deserve access to the same innovative nutritional solutions available internationally.
Beyond the Lectures and Scientific Discussions
Beyond the lectures and scientific discussions, this experience reminded us why international veterinary congresses matter.
We don’t attend these events merely to travel. We attend to learn what is happening beyond our borders and discover what we can bring back to improve veterinary practice in the Philippines.
Equally important are the relationships we build with colleagues and industry partners who share our commitment to advancing veterinary medicine.

To Royal Canin Philippines, thank you for your generosity, trust, and continued investment in Filipino veterinarians.
To Marsman Drysdale Travel and Tours, thank you for helping make this international experience possible.
And to Sophie Pomaret and the entire Royal Canin international team, thank you for the exceptional hospitality and for making four Filipino veterinarians feel genuinely welcome in Warsaw.
We came for the science, enjoyed the friendship, discovered exciting innovations, and brought home wonderful memories.
And who knows? Perhaps one of us will be lucky enough to win that trip to France!
Maraming salamat, Royal Canin Philippines! Your support goes beyond sponsoring a trip. It is an investment in the continued professional growth of Filipino veterinarians.
