On January 8, 2018, a young veterinarian stood inside an empty clinic with little more than borrowed capital, a small amount of personal savings, and a heart full of hope.
That veterinarian was Dr. Glenn Mark Solomon Yaranon, and that day marked the birth of what would one day become GREEN PAWS Veterinary Clinic and Supply.
At the time, being a veterinarian meant earning just enough to survive. The dream of owning a clinic felt distant, almost impossible.
But Dr. Yaranon’s parents believed in him.
They offered financial help, and that trust became the foundation of everything that followed. With their support and his own savings, he took the leap. He did not wait for perfect conditions. He started with what he had.
The early days were brutally difficult.
The clinic had only the most basic equipment. Many tools that established practices took for granted simply did not exist. Still, every patient who walked through the door was treated with dignity, care, and sincerity.
Even without a fully equipped facility, Dr. Yaranon made sure every pet received a proper examination, honest treatment, and genuine compassion.
For a long time, GREEN PAWS was a one-man clinic.
There was no assistant.
No receptionist.
No staff.
Dr. Yaranon did everything.
He consulted.
He treated patients.
He dispensed medicines.
He sold supplies.
He cleaned the clinic.
He closed the doors at night.
There were days of physical exhaustion and emotional doubt—days when quitting felt like the only logical option.
But he kept showing up.
The animals needed him.
The dream was still alive.
Eventually, help arrived.
An assistant joined and became part of the heart of the clinic. It was a small step, but it marked the beginning of growth.
Then came the pandemic.
Like many small veterinary practices, GREEN PAWS was pushed to the brink.
Even after lockdowns were lifted, income barely kept the doors open. Dr. Yaranon tried everything to survive—promotions, signage, marketing, any way to bring in clients.
There were moments when giving up felt inevitable.
He even considered leaving the country and walking away from clinic life.
But he could not.
Not because it was easy—but because it mattered.
The patients.
The clients.
The years of sacrifice.
Letting go would have meant letting go of who he had become.
Then, in what he believes was divine timing, a personal loan was approved.
What seemed like a simple financial decision became a turning point.
That funding allowed him not just to upgrade equipment, but to relocate GREEN PAWS to a better, more accessible location and finally hire a licensed veterinarian.
For the first time in years, Dr. Yaranon could take a day off knowing that his patients were still being cared for by a professional.
This relocation marked the birth of GREEN PAWS Version 2.0.
Today, GREEN PAWS Veterinary Clinic and Supply is no longer just a clinic.
It is a symbol of perseverance, faith, and devotion to the veterinary profession.
It stands as proof that a practice built on compassion can survive even the harshest storms.
From one veterinarian working alone, to a growing clinic serving its community in a new home, the journey of Dr. Glenn Mark Solomon Yaranon and GREEN PAWS is a reminder that when dreams are nurtured with grit and faith, they truly can grow.
Sharing this helps others understand what it really means to be a vet.
