It took me a long time—four years, in fact—before I found the courage to create this page.
Not because I had nothing to say, but because I wasn’t sure if I should be the one saying it.
Then the pandemic happened.
I got COVID-19, and it got serious. I was 50/50.
And in that moment of quiet reflection, I asked myself: If I don’t make it, what will I leave behind for the profession I’ve devoted my life to?
That’s when it became clear.
I didn’t want to leave without giving back.
Without sharing the lessons I’ve picked up along the way—not just in practice, but in vet business, in media, and in life.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats. I’m a veterinarian first, but also a small business owner, a product developer, and for the past three years, I’ve worked in radio—something I never expected would help me find my voice.
That experience showed me the value of sharing stories, connecting communities, and fusing the world of veterinary care with public communication.
This page is my attempt to do just that.
Not as an expert who knows everything, but as a fellow vet who’s still learning—and simply wants to help others navigate this complex, beautiful, and often overwhelming profession.
Some may raise eyebrows. Some may cheer.
Both are okay.
I didn’t create this space to seek approval—I created it with one quiet hope:
That something I share might ease someone else’s burden, spark a new idea, or give clarity to a vet who’s feeling lost.
I often write about topics we’re not always comfortable discussing—like money, management, market trends, and the unspoken struggles of clinic life. Not because I have all the answers, but because I’ve lived through some of the questions. And maybe my experience can help someone else avoid the same mistakes.
I don’t claim to be special. I just happen to be in a position where I’ve seen different sides of this profession—and I feel a quiet responsibility to pass on what I can, while I still can.
One day, if the industry no longer finds value in what I share, I’ll step back with peace and gratitude.
But until then, I’ll keep writing. I’ll keep sharing. I’ll keep learning—with you.
Because more than anything, this page is a simple act of service.
My way of saying thank you to the profession that shaped my life.
Sharing this helps others understand what it really means to be a vet. Like and follow if you’re with us.
