There are moments in life when you achieve something big — a new clinic, a new project, a bigger role, another milestone.
People clap.
People congratulate you.
But inside?
Sometimes it just feels… normal.
Parang wala lang.
You move forward, you work again, and the cycle continues.
But there are days — quiet moments — when you see someone beside you win something simple, something small, something they have waited for their whole life…
And suddenly, that moment means more than any award you’ve ever received.
Like the agent who wakes up early, travels far, knocks on clinic doors, hoping someone will give them a chance.
To us, minsan tingin natin:
“Sales agent lang.”
“Lagi nag-aalok.”
“Raketero.”
Pero sa kanila…
That one sale can be a month’s worth of food.
That one opportunity can put a child through school.
That one chance can change the story of their family.
Some of them never finished college.
Some of them used to be farmers, helpers, laborers.
And yet they dream.
Not of fame.
Not of luxury cars.
Not of titles.
They dream of:
Paying rent on time
Giving their kids a better future
Finally buying something they once only borrowed
And when life checks all the right boxes — when they prove they are honest, hardworking, trustworthy — sometimes I take the risk.
Minsan, sumusugal ako.
Because I know what it feels like to be given a chance.
And truthfully?
Mas masaya pa ako sa small victories nila kaysa sa achievements natin as privileged vets.
When one of them sends a message saying:
“Boss, dahil dito, nakabili ako ng sasakyan.”
“Boss, nakapag-enroll na anak ko.”
“Boss, may pag-asa na uli kami.”
You realize:
This is why we keep going.
This is why, kahit pagod ka na…
kahit minsan gusto mo na magpahinga…
You stand back up.
Because somewhere out there…
Someone is holding on to your yes as their only hope.
Maybe to us, it’s just capital.
Maybe to us, it’s just business.
Pero sa kanila — it is trust.
It is dignity.
It is once-in-a-lifetime.
So to my fellow veterinarians:
When a small business owner knocks on your clinic door,
When a humble person approaches trying to sell,
When someone is just asking for a small chance…
Look beyond the product.
See the person.
See the father trying to provide.
See the mother fighting for her children.
See the dreamer who refuses to give up.
We are blessed.
We have degrees, clinics, respect, careers.
And sometimes, the greatest thing we can do with that blessing…
Is to become the bridge for someone else.
Support small.
Support honest work.
Support people who only need one break to change everything.
Because sometimes, the greatest success is not what we build for ourselves…
But what we help others become.
Sharing this helps others understand what it really means to be a vet. Like and follow if you’re with us.
