A proud graduate of De La Salle Araneta University (formerly GAUF), Dr. Coloyan earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1981. From the very beginning, he carried with him not only academic training, but also a deep sense of discipline, curiosity, and service.
A Global Career in Large Animal and Exotic Practice
Shortly after graduation, Dr. Coloyan took his skills beyond Philippine shores and spent 32 years in the Middle East, specializing in:
- Large animal medicine and surgery
- Food animal practice
- Exotic animal care
His commitment to research and continuous learning led him to conduct extensive scientific work on:
- Camel brucellosis
- Camel contagious ecthyma
These contributions helped improve animal health protocols and broaden understanding of diseases affecting livestock and exotic animals in the region.
Returning Home — Serving Communities as a Veterinary Leader
After decades of global practice, Dr. Coloyan brought his experience back home, continuing his vocation not only as a clinician but also as a mentor and community figure.
He now serves as business owner and lead veterinarian of:
